A potential transfer involving\u00a0Real Madrid and Luka Jovic is a “real possibility” according to\u00a0Eintracht Frankfurt\u00a0sporting director Fredi Bobic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jovic has been consistently linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the season, but Los Blancos have now surfaced as front-runners to secure his signature.<\/p>\n

    The Serbian marksman’s scintillating form in front of goal has yielded 25 goals across all competitions this term, which prompted\u00a0Frankfurt to trigger an option to sign him permanently from Benfica earlier this month.<\/p>\n

    Despite penning a\u00a0four-year contract along\u00a0the River Main, interest in the 21-year-old has intensified, with\u00a0Zinedine Zidane supposedly keen on bolstering his ranks with the acquisition of Frankfurt’s star forward.<\/p>\n

    Amid speculation towards the young striker, Eintracht director Bobic confirmed Real’s interest to ZDF:\u00a0“There’s a real possibility that\u00a0Jovic\u00a0signs for\u00a0Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

    “I hope and want him to stay here at\u00a0Eintracht, but I’m also realistic and know that if a big club like\u00a0Real Madrid\u00a0want him then we haven’t got a chance of keeping him.”<\/p>\n

    Where would Jovic fit in at Real?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Real Madrid\u00a0will be hoping to reignite their European and domestic form next season after enduring an unforgettable campaign, which saw two managers given the sack.<\/p>\n

    Los Blancos will therefore\u00a0require significant surgery this summer, and there are rumours Zidane could be given a warchest of over \u00a3300m to rebuilt his squad.<\/p>\n

    At the top of that pile is Jovic, according to Spanish outlet Marca<\/a>, who suggest the Frankfurt forward could cost the club a fee in the region of around \u00a370m.<\/p>\n

    Given the Serb’s young age and goalscoring prowess it is likely he will serve as an understudy to Karim Benzema, who has rediscovered his shooting boots this term – or as the report suggests, could even line-up alongside the Frenchman.<\/p>\n

    Benzema has 21 La Liga goals to his name so it is unlikely the seasoned striker will be dropped by Zidane next season, though he will need substantial firepower in his attack, and Jovic would certainly provide that.<\/p>\n
