Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp doesn’t think it is likely that Manchester United will do his side a favour against Manchester City on Wednesday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two Manchester sides go head-to-head in midweek, with City hoping to claim a victory that would see them return to the top of the Premier League table.<\/p>\n

  1. Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League after securing a 2-0 win away to relegation strugglers Cardiff City.<\/li>\n

  3. Manchester United were thumped 4-0 by Everton on Sunday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side continue to struggle<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand on Liverpool and travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday.<\/li>\n
  5. City are two points behind Liverpool as the Premier League title race looks to be going right to the wire.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    City are in fantastic form as the season comes to a close, winning their last 10 Premier League matches, scoring 24 goals and conceding just three goals in that time.<\/p>\n

    United, in contrast, are struggling for form having lost three of their last five Premier League outings and Klopp believes that his side can’t rely on their arch-rivals doing them a favour in their hunt for the title.<\/p>\n

    “We have no influence on [Wednesday’s game],” Klopp told Sky Sports<\/a>.\u00a0“It doesn’t look like at the moment United can really… what was the score today? 3-0? 4-0?<\/p>\n

    “We know City will be ready. We just hope United will be ready.”<\/p>\n

    “We need to concentrate on us”<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Another Liverpool representative who believes all they can do is continue doing what they are doing is James Milner.<\/p>\n

    The 33-year-old netted Liverpool’s second goal this afternoon against Cardiff from the penalty spot to help secure three points for the Merseyside club.<\/p>\n

    Milner – who has two Premier League titles under his belt for Manchester City – believes that the best thing for the club is to concentrate on their remaining fixtures and pray that is enough come the end of the campaign.<\/p>\n

    “We just need to concentrate on our side,” Milner said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “All we can do is keep the pressure on by winning games.<\/p>\n

    “[City] know they have to be perfect as well. All we can do is win the rest of our games, hopefully it’s good enough.”<\/p>\n

    Liverpool face Huddersfield Town, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers before the end of the Premier League campaign.<\/p>\n
