Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been accused of diving by Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident occurred during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory away to the Premier League strugglers on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

  4. Salah has picked up a reputation in some parts for going down easily, with incidents against Crystal Palace, West Ham and others this season.<\/li>\n
  5. The 26-year-old went down under a challenge from Sean Morrison on Sunday, resulting in Liverpool being awarded a penalty.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    With the Reds 1-0 up thanks to a classy strike from\u00a0Georginio Wijnaldum in the second half, Jurgen Klopp’s side were gifted the chance to seal the victory after Cardiff centre-back Morrison was deemed to have dragged Salah to the floor in the penalty area.<\/p>\n

    Milner stepped up and converted for Liverpool to ensure their return to the top of the Premier League with just three games remaining.<\/p>\n

    However, Warnock was far from happy – especially with Cardiff also in desperate need of points for contrasting reasons – and targeted Salah for “diving” against his side.<\/p>\n

    Where does the result leave both sides?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Sunday’s victory ensures Liverpool matched Manchester City’s key victory over Tottenham Hotspur this weekend and leapfrogged past Pep Guardiola’s men into top spot.<\/p>\n

    However, City have a game in hand on the Merseysiders – against arch-rivals Manchester United on Wednesday – with plenty still to unravel before the season reaches a climax.<\/p>\n

    For Cardiff, they missed out on picking up vital points in their bid for survival. They are in 18th place, three points behind Brighton & Hove Albion – who they beat 2-0 last week – and have just three games left to save their skin.<\/p>\n

    The Welsh outfit have the easier run-in, facing Fulham, Crystal Palace and Manchester United whereas Brighton – who have a game in hand on Cardiff – face three top-six sides in Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City, with Newcastle United also to play.<\/p>\n
