Costa Rica manager Gustavo Matosas believes Keylor Navas should leave Real Madrid this summer, claiming “nobody can understand” why he is not playing more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Navas was first-choice between the sticks during Real Madrid’s run of three straight Champions League crowns but has lost his place due to the arrival of Thibaut Courtois last summer.<\/p>\n

  1. Navas joined Real Madrid from Levante in 2014.<\/li>\n
  2. The Costa Rican has made 158 appearances for Los Blancos to date.<\/li>\n
  3. He has also helped Real to three consecutive Champions League titles and a La Liga crown.<\/li>\n
  4. But Navas lost his place in the starting XI after the arrival of Courtois and has made just six La Liga appearances this season.<\/li>\n
  5. Costa Rica manager Matotas believes he should leave Real Madrid this summer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The 32-year-old has still managed 17 appearances this season but has only featured in six of Real Madrid’s 31 La Liga games so far, while he was even selected behind Zinedine Zidane’s son, Luca Zidane, during a recent 3-2 win over Huesca.<\/p>\n

    And Matosas has urged Navas to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season for the sake of his career.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI want Keylor to be happy and when he is not playing, this is a tough time,\u201d Matosas said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    \u201cHe is a great goalkeeper and nobody understand why he is not playing, he has won three Champions League titles and deserves to be a starter.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe national team needs him to be happy and I know that, as a smart guy, he will make the best decision for his sporting future.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Hazard: Football needs Zidane<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Despite their impending transfer embargo, Chelsea face a huge battle to keep Eden Hazard at the club this summer, with the player himself throwing admiring glances at Real Madrid and consistently claiming it would a “dream” to play for the Spanish giants.<\/p>\n

    Hazard’s latest hint was to laud Zidane’s return to the Bernabeu dugout, claiming football needs the French World Cup winner.<\/p>\n

    “I am not a Real Madrid player but as a supporter of Zidane, I was very happy that he came back because football needs Zidane,” Hazard said<\/a>. “For Real it is good, for the supporters of Real it is good.<\/p>\n

    “But for the other teams, a bit less because Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane win a lot, so it will be difficult.”<\/p>\n

    Real are still chasing city rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga and currently sit five points behind second place.<\/p>\n
