Inter defender Milan Skriniar is likely to remain at the San Siro next season despite links to Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to his agent. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Only Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly (1,867) has made more passes than Skriniar (1,736) among Serie A defenders this season and his form has led to suggestions that the two Spanish giants are preparing to face off over a big-money move for the Slovak centre-back.<\/p>\n

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have also held a reported<\/a> interest in recent months, with the former set for a squad overhaul this summer under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

However, his agent, Mithat Halis, has revealed Skriniar’s price is set at \u20ac100m, meaning ‘only two Spanish clubs and those in the Premier League’ could pursue his services.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis price is very high, it is \u20ac100m, and only two Spanish clubs and those in the Premier League can afford that,\u201d Halis said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Halis then admitted Atletico Madrid were interested in Skriniar while he was still at Sampdoria, while Barca and Real are yet to make a ‘solid approach’.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cAtletico Madrid wanted him while he was at Sampdoria but now there is nothing\u2026as for Barcelona and Madrid, there has been no solid approach from either.\u201d<\/p>\n

After making a long-awaited return to the Champions League this season, Inter are on course to remain in Europe’s elite competition next term as they currently sit five points clear of rivals AC Milan in third place in Serie A.<\/p>\n

Key to that has been Inter’s defensive form – including that of Skriniar – with their 25 goals conceded only bettered in Serie A by Juventus, who have let in 20.<\/p>\n
