Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has confirmed a training ground fight between Robert Lewandowski and Kingsley Coman took place this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The scuffle happened on Thursday at the club’s training ground.<\/p>\n

    It’s unclear why the altercation occurred. Lewandowski is thought to be close to signing a contract extension after reportedly feeling disconcerted with life at the club and flirting with the idea of moving to Real Madrid. The Pole was involved in a similar fight at the back end of the previous campaign.<\/p>\n

    Last season, the striker is said to have asked why the club wasn’t showing more ambition in the transfer market; \u00a335m remains the club’s record transfer fee for a player, though they are set to break that with the \u00a368m signing of Lucas Hernandez this summer. What’s more, there is likely to be an influx of new players coming to Bayern with a number of current players on the wrong side of 30.<\/p>\n

    Kovac confirmed the fight on Friday ahead of Bayern’s away league fixture against Fortuna, though he said neither player would be fined.<\/p>\n
