Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expecting Paul Pogba to still be a Manchester United player when the 2019\/20 season kicks off in August.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pogba has been heavily associated with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks, and the Frenchman has even publicly flirted with the idea, leading to concerns over his future at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

  1. Pogba has two years left on his contract with the option of a 12-month extension.<\/li>\n
  2. The Frenchman recently admitted it would be a “dream” to play for Real Madrid.<\/li>\n
  3. He also lauded\u00a0Zinedine Zidane, stating that “anybody who likes football” would love to play for him.<\/li>\n
  4. Zidane responded to those comments by telling his compatriot: “When you\u2019re done at Man Utd, come to Real Madrid.”<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Despite this, Solskjaer believes Pogba will remain at Man Utd past the summer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The 26-year-old added fuel to the fire when he told reporters,\u00a0while on international duty with France, that “Real Madrid is a dream for anyone”, sparking apprehension among some sections of the United fanbase.<\/p>\n

    However, Solskjaer has since cooled interest between his prized asset and the Spanish giants, insisting the midfielder will still be donning the famous red and black attire of United past the summer.<\/p>\n

    Speaking ahead of the Red Devils’ Champions League clash against Barcelona, Solskjaer said<\/a>: “Paul Pogba is looking forward to tomorrow.<\/p>\n

    “At Paul’s best he can run a game like this. I cannot see him not playing for Manchester United next season.”<\/p>\n

    United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

    Solskjaer expecting big Pogba performance<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Since Solskjaer took the United helm in December, Pogba has been the fulcrum of his success, with the box-to-box midfielder scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in 23 appearances.<\/p>\n

    Upon stepping in for Jose Mourinho, the Norwegian described Pogba as\u00a0“a Manchester United boy through and through” and he has once more echoed that sentiment, hoping his chief performer will step up against Barca on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
