Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has insisted that he is not interested in returning to the Premier League.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Liverpool player has been linked with a move back to England with both Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly interested in his services.<\/p>\n

  1. The former Liverpool man made 201 appearances for the Reds, scoring 54 goals.<\/li>\n
  2. The Brazilian moved to Barcelona in January 2018 for a transfer fee of \u00a3105 million, which could rise to \u00a3142 million.<\/li>\n
  3. Coutinho has made 66 appearances for the Catalan giants, scoring 20 goals.<\/li>\n
  4. However, the 26-year-old has struggled for consistency in La Liga and hasn’t established himself in the starting XI this season.<\/li>\n
  5. Starting just 19 of 31 La Liga outings, Coutinho has been linked with a move away from the club and potentially back to England.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Despite his time in Spain far from going to plan, the Brazil international has stressed that he has no intentions of seeking an exit from the club, having signed for them under two years ago.<\/p>\n

    Coutinho told the Mirror<\/a>:\u00a0“My head is exclusively in Barcelona. Returning to England now does not fit into my plans.<\/p>\n

    “This is my second season here. I have won titles but I am always an ambitious and demanding player. So, I want more and more.<\/p>\n

    “But I’m happy. I wanted to play in Spain and I’m at the best club in Spain.”<\/p>\n

    Coutinho might be having a mixed spell in the famous red and blue stripes of Barcelona but the club are once again proving that they are the best team in Spain.<\/p>\n

    The Catalan club defeated La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid 2-0 on Saturday night to strengthen their position at the top of the table – going 11 points clear with seven games to play – with yet another league success just around the corner.<\/p>\n

    A red card for Atletico’s Diego Costa put them on the backfoot before two late goals in two minutes from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi secured a vital home victory for Coutinho and co.<\/p>\n
