Manchester City manager has revealed he substituted Kyle Walker at half-time against Brighton due to a suspected hamstring injury.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The full-back was very involved in the first half, picking up what looked to be a troubling injury though he eventually played on.<\/p>\n

Walker then risked a red card after 30 minutes following an altercation with Alireza Jahanbakhsh in which he scraped his head down at the Brighton man. But fortunately for Walker and City, Anthony Taylor only deemed it worthy of a yellow card – a decision backed up by VAR.<\/p>\n

But Walker would not last much longer, being substituted at half-time for Danilo as City looked to regain control of a game which was slightly slipping away.<\/p>\n

And Guardiola told reporters<\/a> at his post-match press conference that Walker was substituted due to a hamstring problem rather than the Jahanbakhsh incident, adding: \u201cI didn\u2019t see it. When I see it on TV, I will tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Man City won the semi-final 1-0 thanks to Gabriel Jesus’ goal after four minutes and advance to the FA Cup final on May 18, where they will face either Wolverhampton Wanderers or Watford.<\/p>\n

The win also keeps City on the path for an unprecedented quadruple, with the Carabao Cup already secure and Guardiola’s side still in the Champions League and in charge of their Premier League destiny.<\/p>\n

Up next for City is the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the London club’s new stadium on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
