Gary Neville admits he got it “completely wrong” about the defending abilities of Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Manchester United and England captain did not think Robertson was up to scratch a year ago and claimed he would struggle in the big leagues against the best wingers.<\/p>\n

One year later and Neville has finally conceded that the wiry Scot has proved him wrong this season: \u201cI got it completely wrong,” Neville told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

“I didn\u2019t think he was good enough defensively. I\u2019d watched him for Scotland and Hull and knew he was good going forward.<\/p>\n

“I didn\u2019t think he would be good enough at the top level against the best wingers. He\u2019s proven me completely wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n
