Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be unable to persuade Paul Pogba to stay put this summer and is adamant several players must leave “for the sake of the club”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pogba has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer following the reappointment of French compatriot\u00a0Zinedine Zidane.<\/p>\n

  1. Pogba had initially been linked with a summer departure during the latter months of Jose Mourinho’s tenure.<\/li>\n
  2. The duo acrimoniously fell out but since Solskjaer has taken the helm Pogba has been in stellar form.<\/li>\n
  3. Despite this, the Frenchman recently spoke of a “dream” move to Real Madrid whilst on international duty.<\/li>\n
  4. Solskjaer immediately played down speculation of any potential transfer.<\/li>\n
  5. But Ince believes the midfielder will be waving goodbye to the club come the end of the season.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Los Blancos are set for a summer overhaul following a disastrous season, epitomised by their capitulation against Ajax, and Pogba is believed to be in the club’s crosshairs.<\/p>\n

    As such, Ince believes\u00a0Solskjaer will struggle to sway the 26-year-old’s judgment and convince him that Old Trafford is the place where his career will best prosper.<\/p>\n

    In his column for\u00a0Paddy Power<\/a>, he wrote: “Honestly, I don\u2019t think Pogba will be at Old Trafford next season.<\/p>\n

    “Ole\u2019s come in, changed the way he feels about the game since Jose Mourinho left and because his form has improved, the big boys have come calling again.<\/p>\n

    “But I\u2019m not sure Pogba\u2019s ever settled at United since he came back, and a move could be on the cards.<\/p>\n

    “It\u2019s Ole\u2019s job to do some convincing now, convince players like Pogba and David de Gea that they\u2019re better off at Old Trafford.”<\/p>\n

    Ince lists players who need to leave<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    It has been a turbulent season for United but following the interim appointment of\u00a0Solskjaer the club’s fortunes have changed dramatically.<\/p>\n

    United are now firmly in the race for a top-four finish and will take on La Liga giants Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals this month.<\/p>\n

    This has ultimately led to Solskjaer obtaining the job on a permanent basis and Ince feels the Norwegian will now be set for a busy summer, highlighting two players the club will definitely need to move on.<\/p>\n

    He added: “There are players who need to move on if Ole wants to re-build. But also, there may well be a few players who seem to want to move on themselves.<\/p>\n
