Paul Pogba has said playing under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid would be “a dream for anyone” but insists he is happy at Manchester United.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Frenchman was linked with Madrid before he re-joined Manchester United in the summer of 2016.<\/p>\n

  1. Pogba endured a difficult time at the beginning of the season under Jose Mourinho, with whom he had had a fractious relationship.<\/li>\n
  2. Finding himself in and out of the team, Pogba was linked with his former club Juventus.<\/li>\n
  3. But the midfielder’s form has drastically improved since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Mourinho in December.<\/li>\n
  4. Pogba’s contract doesn’t expire until the end of the 2020\/21 season.<\/li>\n
  5. Real Madrid are reportedly looking to refresh their squad this summer, but the length of Pogba’s deal means United are under no pressure to sell.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Pogba, who won the World Cup with France last summer, was asked about Real Madrid during a press conference ahead of this week’s international fixtures.<\/p>\n

    And the 26-year-old refused to hide his admiration for the European champions.<\/p>\n

    “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Pogba said, according to Goal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.<\/p>\n

    “For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”<\/p>\n

    Upon Pogba’s return to Old Trafford, Mourinho admitted he had to convince Pogba to join United over another suitor, thought to be Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

    Zidane later confirmed Madrid held talks with Pogba but a deal failed to materialise, and Pogba himself claimed he could have signed for Madrid or Barcelona instead of United.<\/p>\n

    Man Utd fans respond to Pogba comments<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    It is impossible not to be impressed by Pogba’s numbers this season, particularly considering he was deemed to have had a troubled start to the campaign.<\/p>\n

    Pogba has now scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 37 games across all competitions, far more than Madrid’s current first-choice central midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, who have five goals and 11 assists between them.<\/p>\n

    As a result, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Real Madrid target Pogba, and United fans aren’t particularly pleased with the midfielder’s latest comments.<\/p>\n
