Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes Manchester United’s Class of ’92 have too much loyalty towards former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The striker, who left United for LA Galaxy last year, hinted the likes of Paul Scholes and Gary Neville are overly critical of Paul Pogba because he left Old Trafford when he was young, unlike the Class of ’92.<\/p>\n

  1. The Class of ’92 is a group of youngsters Ferguson promoted to the first team after their FA Youth Cup success in 1992.<\/li>\n
  2. Those players \u2013 David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes \u2013 all went on to help United win the treble in 1998\/99.<\/li>\n
  3. Giggs, Scholes and Gary Neville spent their entire careers at United and were only ever managed by Ferguson at club level.<\/li>\n
  4. Beckham, Butt and Phil Neville all left for other clubs after winning multiple honours at Old Trafford.<\/li>\n
  5. Scholes and Gary Neville have been heavily critical of Paul Pogba in the past, and Ibrahimovic thinks it’s because of the loyalty the duo showed to Ferguson.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Ibrahimovic played under Jose Mourinho during his time at United, helping the club to win the League Cup and the Europa League in 2016\/17.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to the Mirror<\/a>, the former Sweden international was critical of the Class of ’92 for their attitude towards Pogba.<\/p>\n

    “With Pogba, he was with United when he was young, then he went out [to Juventus] and he came back,” Ibrahimovic said.<\/p>\n

    “And in the circle of Ferguson, they don\u2019t like that. Because they stayed all their life under Ferguson and they never moved from Ferguson.<\/p>\n

    “And they didn\u2019t even talk if Ferguson didn\u2019t tell them to open their mouth.<\/p>\n

    “They are not there any more. They are on TV and complaining all the time because they are not active in the club.<\/p>\n

    “If you want to work in the club, go and search for work in the club.<\/p>\n

    “So you cannot be on TV and always complaining and criticising. Yeah, ok, you\u2019ve had your time, we know it.”<\/p>\n

    “Everything was Ferguson” \u2013 Ibrahimovic<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Mourinho was the third manager to sit in the United dugout following Ferguson’s retirement at the end of the 2012\/13 season.<\/p>\n

    David Moyes and Louis van Gaal had both failed to replicate the unmatched level of success Ferguson enjoyed at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

    And Ibrahimovic believes the Scot’s legacy was a burden during his time in Manchester.<\/p>\n

    He added: \u201cEverything that happens is judged by the era of Ferguson. They are saying if Ferguson was here, this would not happen, Ferguson would not do it like that.<\/p>\n

    “Ferguson would do it like this. Everything was Ferguson.<\/p>\n

    “If it was me, I would say I don\u2019t have Ferguson any more. And I come here and I want to make my own history, I want to make my own story.<\/p>\n

    “So I do not want to hear what happened before. I want to do it in the present. You come in with a new mentality.<\/p>\n
