Arsenal<\/a> beat Brighton and Hove Albion<\/a> 1-0 to extend their lead over Manchester City<\/a> in the Premier League<\/a> table.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a much-needed three points for the Gunners, as Man City dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest<\/a>. Now, they are seven points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side — who still have a game in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Mikel Arteta’s men didn’t have their best night. They looked unconvincing yet again — perhaps for the fourth time in their last five matches (Brighton, Chelsea<\/a>, Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> and Brentford<\/a>). The exception was a dominant 4-1 over Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> in the north London derby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not even their set-pieces worked at the Amex, which goes to show that they didn’t gave much going for them. But a lucky deflection from an unpretentious Bukayo Saka long-range strike was enough to give them the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
