The Tricky Trees had won just one of their first 11 games across all competitions &#8211; the first one, still under Nuno Espirito Santo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They then bounced right back by beating Porto in Dyche&#8217;s debut. And after loss at Bournemouth, a five-game unbeaten run followed &#8211; including three wins in a row scoring 3 goals in each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, their form has dipped. Two losses in the last three matches and only one goal scored, in a 1-0 win over bottom-of-the-league Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-yoast-seo-table-of-contents yoast-table-of-contents\"><h2>What should Nottingham Forest take from the last few games?<\/h2><ul><li><a href=\"#h-returns-from-injury-can-help-them\" data-level=\"3\">Returns from injury can help them<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#h-chris-wood-to-the-rescue\" data-level=\"3\">Chris Wood to the rescue?<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-returns-from-injury-can-help-them\">Returns from injury can help them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nottingham Forest are currently playing without five players who would usually start for them: Ola Aina, Murillo, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Douglas Luiz and Chris Wood. Dilane Bakwa, Taiwo Awoniyi and Angus Gunn have also missed time recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And though they did start the good run of form without a few of these names, it never looked sustainable with the amount of talent they were lacking. Just shows how much a new presence in the locker room can help sometimes &#8211; especially if it&#8217;s Sean Dyche and his gravelling voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, it doesn&#8217;t feel like what they showed in the Everton (0-3) and Brighton (0-2) losses is their actual level. Definitely not as good as it looked when they beat Leeds, Liverpool and Malmo, but not as bad as it seems now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Murillo is a guaranteed starter and scored last time he was on the pitch for a Premier League game. And strength in set pieces, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Igor Jesus is trying his best leading the line but Chris Wood is a more reliable option. And could blame the team &#8211; or even the managers &#8211; for having to work in such a disorganized environment that owner Evangelos Marinakis created this season?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Players had to adjust from going to Nuno&#8217;s cautious and counter-attacking approach to the exact opposite under Ange Postecoglou. And then back to a more reactive style following Sean Dyche&#8217;s arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the New Zealander striker knows exactly what it is to work with Dyche. The pair enjoyed a successful four-and-a-half-year partnership at Burnley between 2017 and 2022. The No.9 last played during Postecoglou&#8217;s final match in charge of Forest and then suffered a knee injury from which he still hasn&#8217;t recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But having him back later this month or early in January could give Sean Dyche a huge boost going forward.
