With the January transfer window approaching, Everton<\/a> will surely be weighing up their striker options.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Toffees have already invested handsomely at No.9 in recent times, signing Thierno Barry from Villarreal in the summer for \u00a327million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the France youth international has hardly made the best start to life on Merseyside. Barry is still awaiting his first direct goal involvement after 13 games across all competitions, including six starts and 11 Premier League<\/a> appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Existing striker Beto — signed from Udinese for \u00a325.75m in the summer of 2023 — hasn’t fared much better, netting just two goals in 13 appearances across all competitions. One in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup, but none in his last nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Moyes’ side are 13th in the Premier League table, which isn’t overly bad. But only Leeds United (11) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (7) have scored fewer goals than their 12. With the best defensive record among the bottom half (13 conceded), you have to feel that Everton could fly up the table if they had a clinical finisher. Especially with creative assets like Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
