For England, Walker scored nine goals in 18 England caps and was the just the second-ever Villa player to captain the Three Lions. Ollie Watkins is trying to hunt Walker down, currently sitting on five goals in 19 caps as a Villa player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bournemouth-callum-wilson\">Bournemouth: Callum Wilson<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Callum Wilson made his England debut against the United States in November 2018 and got on the scoresheet in the 77th minute, just moments before coming off. He remains the first and only Bournemouth player to score for England, though considering Lewis Cook is the only other Cherry with a cap, the pool isn&#8217;t deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-brentford-ivan-toney\">Brentford: Ivan Toney<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to Wilson, Ivan Toney comes from a very small pool of Brentford players to represent England &#8212; one of just four to do so. His only England goal came in a friendly against Belgium in March 2024, though he played his part in the Three Lions&#8217; run to the Euro 2024 final from the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-brighton-n-a\">Brighton: N\/A<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Brighton are yet to produce a goalscorer for England, with just five players turning out for the Three Lions while playing for the club. Ben White and Lewis Dunk are the most recent, with the latter still active for both. Burnley&#8217;s most productive England goalscorer was Bob Kelly, who scored six times in 11 caps between 1920 and 1925. Still, Lampard scored all 29 of his England goals while at Chelsea, including three at Euro 2004, with George Hilsdon his nearest challenger on 14 goals, scored across just eight caps pre-WW1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-crystal-palace-peter-taylor\">Crystal Palace: Peter Taylor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Crystal Palace have produced a lot more England players in recent years, including the likes of Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze (now at Arsenal) and Dean Henderson. Guehi and Eze have a goal each and make up a list of just three Eagles to score for the Three Lions, sitting behind their iconic winger, Peter Taylor, who scored twice in four caps &#8212; both in separate games against Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-everton-dixie-dean\">Everton: Dixie Dean<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>16<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dixie Dean still holds the record for the most goals scored in an English top-flight season, bagging a ridiculous 60 times in 39 appearances in 1927\/28, firing Everton to the league title just a year after they avoided relegation by four points. One of the greatest No.9s in the history of the game, Dean scored 18 times for his country in just 16 games. Unfortunately, Dean&#8217;s time with England pre-dated their participation in the World Cup, and the Euros didn&#8217;t even exist at that point. In second for Everton is Gary Lineker, who scored nine times in 11 caps while at Goodison Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fulham-johnny-haynes\">Fulham: Johnny Haynes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>56<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Only one Fulham player has ever scored for England, but he certainly did his part to put the Cottagers on the map. Johnny Haynes netted 18 times in 56 caps for the Three Lions in the 1950s and 60s. Tragically, he suffered serious foot and knee injuries in a car crash in 1962 and was never quite the same player after that, missing out on England&#8217;s 1966 World Cup triumph despite having captained his country 22 times by that point and still being just 27 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-leeds-united-allan-clarke\">Leeds United: Allan Clarke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>19<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Leeds have offered up some great players to the national team over the years, including Jack Charlton, Rio Ferdinand and Norman Hunter. Pre-hamstring Owen was an absolute menace with terrifying pace, and he was one of the greatest finishers we&#8217;ve ever seen. <em>That <\/em>goal against Argentina in 1998 remains one of the greatest in England history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;ll come as little surprise to see Steven Gerrard second on the list for the Reds, with 21 goals in 114 caps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-manchester-city-raheem-sterling\">Manchester City: Raheem Sterling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>61<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Raheem Sterling&#8217;s early England career was one of frustration, but after playing superbly as distraction for Harry Kane at the 2018 World Cup, he took the limelight himself. Between 2019 and 2021 alone, he hit 14 goals in 25 caps, while he managed 18 total during his time with Manchester City. Eric Brook and Franny Lee are the only other City players in double figures with 10 goals each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-manchester-united-bobby-charlton\">Manchester United: Bobby Charlton<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>106<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>49<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Wayne Rooney may have broken Bobby Charlton&#8217;s England record, but eight of his international goals came during his time as an Everton player &#8212; the third-most for the Toffees. That leaves Charlton as United&#8217;s most productive England star, with 49 goals in 106 caps, including three at the 1966 World Cup triumph. His strike against the Soviet Union in a 2-0 third-place playoff win in June 1968 was also England&#8217;s first-ever goal at the European Championship finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-newcastle-united-alan-shearer\">Newcastle United: Alan Shearer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>35<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The greatest player in Newcastle United history, Alan Shearer&#8217;s return of 30 goals in 63 England caps feels far too low for a player of his quality. He called it a day for his country very early. 20 of those goals came during his time at St. James&#8217; Park, including at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nottingham-forest-tinsley-lindley\">Nottingham Forest: Tinsley Lindley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>13<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tinsley Lindley is the only Nottingham Forest player to break double figures, scoring 14 goals in 13 caps way back in the 1880s and 90s. Lindley once scored four goals in a single game as England routed Ireland 7-0 in Sheffield. More recently, Stuart Pearce scored five goals in 76 caps, which is a very decent return for a combative defender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sunderland-george-holley\">Sunderland: George Holley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>10<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Jermain Defoe was the last Sunderland player to score for England back in 2017, but George Holley was their most productive player for the Three Lions with eight goals in 10 caps during the early 1900s. However, even his return of 58 goals as a Tottenham Hotspur player would be enough to see him sit as England&#8217;s record goalscorer. His next-closest challenger at Spurs is the legendary Jimmy Greaves on 28 goals in 42 caps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-west-ham-united-geoff-hurst\">West Ham United: Geoff Hurst<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caps: <\/strong>49<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goals: <\/strong>24<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The <\/em>World Cup winner, Geoff Hurst remains just one of two players to score for England in a World Cup final, and one of four players to score for the Three Lions in a major tournament final.
