The 2024\u201325 campaign saw Marcus Rashford\u2019s Manchester United career hit an all-time low. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a difficult start to the season under Erik ten Hag, the England international locked horns with new manager Ruben Amorim, culminating in a January loan move to Aston Villa – a dramatic shift for a player who, just two years earlier, had carried United\u2019s attack with a 30-goal season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His half-season stint at Villa Park was refreshing, but hardly earth-shattering; Rashford registered four goals and six assists in 17 appearances before his season was cut short by injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the Carrington graduate is at a crossroads in his career, having been exiled from pre-season training by Amorim ahead of the 2025-26 season. Rashford’s Old Trafford exit is now but a formality – the only question that remains is where he ends up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we’ve taken a look at four potential destinations for the 27-year-old winger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dream: Barcelona<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rashford’s desire to join Barcelona has been well-documented. The player’s representative’s have been in contact with the Catalan side’s higher-ups, but a deal is yet to gain traction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hansi Flick\u2019s vertical, transition-heavy style mirrors what brought out the best in Rashford at United. He wouldn’t be tasked with intricate build-up or constant touchline dribbling – just pure impact in the final third. Surrounded by ball-dominant midfielders like Pedri and Gavi, Rashford\u2019s role could be streamlined into what he does best: attacking space and finishing moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One lingering question is where Rashford would fit in Barca’s rotation, with Raphinha and Ferran Torres rivalling him for position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to mention, it would require some financial gymnastics from Barca\u2019s board, considering his gargantuan wage demands. From a footballing and personal standpoint, it would be a bold next chapter for Rashford in a global club and a fresh league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Realistic: AC Milan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AC Milan have reportedly been long-term admirers of Rashford, although no concrete approach has been made in the past. Rashford would bring instant star power and experience to a youthful attack led by Rafael Leao. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Milan enduring one of their worst seasons in recent history in 2024-25, a signing like Rashford would be a mega statement from their under-fire U.S owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serie A\u2019s more tactical, less physically intense style could also suit Rashford as he looks to rebuild confidence and rhythm. And away from the Premier League spotlight, he could focus on football without the weekly media frenzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wildcard: Bayern Munich<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bayern Munich are quietly emerging as a contender for Rashford and it could be the perfect reset for both player and club. With Leroy Sane’s exit and Kingsley Coman\u2019s future uncertain, Rashford could be a fitting replacement for Vincent Kompany\u2019s Champions League title hopefuls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United reportedly value Rashford at around \u00a340million – a price Bayern could afford thanks to their Club World Cup revenue after making the quarter-finals. With Nico Williams and Luis Diaz proving tricky to land, Rashford is now on Bayern\u2019s shortlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Rashford, it\u2019s a chance to join one of Europe\u2019s elite and play at the top level he desires. For Bayern, they’re getting their hands on a player in his prime years who’s previously enjoyed successful output in the toughest league in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Squawka Suggests: West Ham<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If Rashford\u2019s priority is regular starts and a key role, West Ham makes a lot of sense. The Hammers are in the market for attacking reinforcements after selling Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham and are keen to reshape their forward line under Graham Potter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside Jarrod Bowen, Rashford would instantly become the team’s leading name – a focal point in a system that encourages attacking positional fluidity, similar to the responsibility Kudus had at the London Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
