Deadline day dished up plenty of late drama in the transfer window but business has still been going on in the days beyond the summer\u2019s much-anticipated ‘window slam’.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were a handful of club-defining deals that transpired earlier this month, including Man Utd’s \u00a382m move for Antony — the third-highest transfer in their history — while Arsenal and Chelsea\u2019s cross-pollination of players to don both colours added another name with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining the latter. Liverpool also snapped up Arthur to ease their midfield crisis, and of course, Pep Guardiola couldn\u2019t help himself but take one last dip into City\u2019s cavernous kitty, picking up Manuel Akanji.<\/p>\n

But, if you thought everyone just shook hands and left it at that until January, you\u2019d be sorely mistaken. In the proceeding days \u2014 and even hours after the window closed \u2014 contracts have been signed, affiliations changed and deals completed.
