Aston Villa look set to add even more quality to their midfield with the signing of Morgan Sanson from Marseille.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After barely avoiding relegation last season, Dean Smith’s men have been turning heads with a number of impressive performances, not least that famous 7-2 win over Liverpool in October. The Villans are currently mid-table but if they can win their games in hand (as many as three over fourth-placed Liverpool), they’ll be right back in the mix for Champions League and Europa League qualification.<\/p>\n

With five goals and seven assists so far, Jack Grealish has led the charge, but the England international has been backed by some stellar midfield performances by the likes of John McGinn, Douglas Luiz and Chelsea loanee, Ross Barkley.<\/p>\n

    Even so, it would appear Smith is keen to add more options to his midfield ranks and Villa have now emerged as the favourites to sign 26-year-old Sanson, despite reported<\/a> interest from the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n
