The Premier League is really getting into the swing of things as we approach the end of November.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the festive period not far away, a top four have somewhat established themselves whilst the Manchester clubs are struggling in mid-table, although both do have a game in-hand.<\/p>\n

As things are now taking shape, we headed over to SBK and had a look at their rankings for the favourites to win the 2020\/21 Premier League title. We’ve picked the top seven contenders as decided by SBK’s percentage odds and profiled them here.<\/p>\n

7. Arsenal<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 12th<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>1.00%<\/p>\n

Arsenal are barely even considered for the Premier League title as evidenced by their low percentage ‘winner odds’. The Gunners simply have too much work that needs doing to their squad in order for them to be competitive, especially when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears to have lost his goalscoring touch, netting just one league goal since signing his new contract.<\/p>\n

6. Manchester United<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 10th<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>2.50%<\/p>\n

Manchester United’s head coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has simply not impressed on a consistent enough level to reach the kind of success the club so crave. Of course, if they had a quality sporting director then that wouldn’t matter so much, as they’d be able to sign enough talent to compensate for that. They’ve still got a lot of talent but it’s nowhere near enough to mount a title challenge, and given how poor they’ve been at home, they could even struggle to finish in the top four.<\/p>\n

5. Leicester City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 4th<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>2.78%<\/p>\n

Leicester are a ‘beat anybody on their day’ kind of side but even then, they need all their players to perform to the peak of their powers. Sometimes that will happen, and they’ll beat Man City 5-2, but sometimes one or two key players will underperform and they’ll get slapped 3-0 by Liverpool. They’re unlikely winners but must be strong favourites to make the top four.<\/p>\n

4. Chelsea<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 3rd<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>13.51%<\/p>\n

There may still be a few question marks as to Frank Lampard’s capacity as a tactician, but away from the dugout, the club have a certain Marina Granovskaia, one of the very best chief executives in Europe. Granovskaia oversaw a superb summer of transfer activity that has Chelsea stacked with enough attacking talent to shoot their way out of almost any problem, as well as some key defensive pieces too. Lampard’s confused, inconsistent management could still be their ceiling, but don’t count them out.<\/p>\n

3. Tottenham Hotspur<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 1st<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>13.89%<\/p>\n

Spurs are the best team in the Premier League right now. Jose Mourinho’s ability to organise a defence has returned from its Manchester-exile. In midfield, Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg may prove to be one of the signings of the season, while in Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, he has two world-class forwards who don’t need the kind of attacking structure the Portuguese has, at times, proven incapable of providing.<\/p>\n

The potential for a genuine title challenge rides on Kane and Son being able to sustain the Luis Suarez-Cristiano Ronaldo levels they’ve begun the season so far in for an entire campaign. That is an improbable but not impossible feat, so treat them with scepticism for now but don’t you dare rule them out.<\/p>\n

2. Manchester City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 13th<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>26.67%<\/p>\n

Manchester City are well off the pace. Even if they win their game in-hand they will be 7th at best, still stuck in mid-table if results go against them. Obviously their capacity to explode and re-find the swagger that saw them rack up 198 points in two seasons is definitely real, but the degree to which it is plausible is ever-shrinking. Sergio Aguero is more injury-prone, Raheem Sterling doesn’t seem like he’s going to take the leap from great goalscorer to elite goalscorer (and City kind of need him to), while at the back Ederson is becoming increasingly erratic.<\/p>\n

1. Liverpool<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Current position:<\/strong> 2nd<\/p>\n

SBK<\/a> Premier League 2020\/21 winner odds: <\/strong>40.32%<\/p>\n

They were the best, they’re not currently the best and without Virgil van Dijk there’s every chance it could all collapse in a series of bad results across the winter. But, right now Jurgen Klopp has redefined his Liverpool side again, this time returning them to the attack-first rock n’ roll football of 2017\/18. Back then it wasn’t enough to win a title, but now with no 100-point juggernaut Man City around to steamroller everyone, and with Diogo Jota looking a far cannier signing than anyone dreamed possible, Liverpool retaining their title is looking the most likely outcome for the 2020\/21 Premier League season.<\/p>\n
