January was a fairly quiet transfer window, with most clubs exercising caution before adding to their squads.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But that doesn’t mean deals weren’t made, with the likes of Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino two of the standout transfers to get over the line. However, such is the fast-paced nature of modern football, it’s understandable if any major acquisitions made in previous transfer windows are now already forgotten.<\/p>\n

That being said, the 2019 summer market produced a number of big moves, notably Manchester United making Harry Maguire the world’s most expensive defender.<\/p>\n

His switch aside, there are a number of purchases which haven’t exactly turned out well and we’ve looked at 10 which may have slipped your memory below.<\/p>\n
