The transfer window is motoring along nicely, with deals being completed left, right and centre. <\/strong><\/p>\n

For English clubs, the time to get their business boxed off is now, with the window closing on August 8, while the rest of Europe has a few more weeks yet to remain active in the market.<\/p>\n

Last week saw another flurry of transfers being completed, with some fetching a high price, while others were on more of a modest budget.<\/p>\n

At Squawka, we’ve picked out 16 deals you might have missed.<\/p>\n

1. Ademola Lookman<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To: <\/strong>RB Leipzig<\/p>\n

Fee: <\/strong>\u00a316.2m<\/p>\n

He never quite looked settled in an Everton shirt \u2013 despite a remarkable debut goal against Man City in 2017 \u2013 and, now, Ademola Lookman has completed a permanent transfer to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. Lookman scored five goals in 11 games on loan at Leipzig in 2018 and rumours of a permanent move have persisted ever since.<\/p>\n

The young winger is obviously delighted with his move, too, declaring<\/a> on his arrival: “I’m very happy to be back in Leipzig and to be back with my teammates. I didn’t have to think too long about returning here. I enjoyed my previous spell a lot and followed RB Leipzig’s results last season.”<\/p>\n

2. Douglas Luiz<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From: <\/strong>Manchester City<\/p>\n

To: <\/strong>Aston Villa<\/p>\n

Fee: <\/strong>\u00a315m<\/p>\n

The player who couldn’t get a work permit at Manchester City, an English club, gets one and signs for Aston Villa, another English club. Strange? Don’t worry, former Villa striker Darren Bent was equally as confused.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s probably the strangest part, that Manchester City couldn\u2019t get it over the line even though he\u2019s a City player, but Aston Villa are confident that they can,” he said<\/a>. Regardless, it’s another big signing for Dean Smith, who seems determined to flesh out his options and make sure Villa remain a top-flight club for as long as they did last time.<\/p>\n

3. Joelinton <\/strong><\/h2>\n

From: <\/strong>Hoffenheim<\/p>\n

To: <\/strong>Newcastle United<\/p>\n

Fee: <\/strong>\u00a340m<\/p>\n

Newcastle are making something of a habit of breaking their transfer record now. Granted, Magpies fans would probably rather see Rafa Benitez still in the St James’ Park dugout, but the \u00a340m capture of Joelinton \u2013 a fee eclipsing that which they paid Atlanta United for Miguel Almiron (\u00a320m) \u2013 should go a long way to easing the pain.<\/p>\n

The last Brazilian striker to switch Hoffenheim for England \u2013 Roberto Firmino \u2013 turned out to be a raging success, so it will be interesting to see how much Steve Bruce can get out of Joelinton alongside Almiron, especially following the departure of Ayoze Perez.<\/p>\n

4. Dani Ceballos<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fee: <\/strong>loan<\/p>\n

Most <\/em>of you probably didn’t miss this transfer but for those of you who did, it definitely needs mentioning. How Dani Ceballos couldn’t get a regular game at Real Madrid \u2013 especially last season when they were quite simply useless \u2013 is a real mystery.<\/p>\n

However, the 22-year-old \u2013 who played a key role in Spain’s Uefa Under-21 European Championship-winning campaign this summer \u2013 will now get his chance to show the world what he can do on loan at Arsenal. The only worry for the Gunners is if he turns out to be so good, Zinedine Zidane wants him back.<\/p>\n

5. Vincent Janssen<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From: <\/strong>Tottenham Hotspur<\/p>\n

To: <\/strong>Monterrey<\/p>\n

Fee: <\/strong>\u00a35.6m<\/p>\n

Vincent Janssen, one of Spurs’ forgotten men in recent times, has finally left the club to join Mexican giants and 2019 Concacaf Champions League winners, Monterrey.<\/p>\n
