5. Lyon<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Lyon’s 2019\/20 away kit feels like a great place to kick us off. The French club impressed many with their exploits in Europe last season and if they’re going to be sporting their dark blue effort on the continent next term, few would be averse to them impressing again.<\/p>\n

The blue background features a nice, black fading stripes pattern on the front and the whole thing is nicely complimented white and red colouring on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The urge to rank this further up was tough to ignore but as you’ll see, clubs are setting a very high standard.<\/p>\n

4. Real Madrid

It’s time for Real Madrid to recover from their 2018\/19 horror show and what better way to do it than with a classy away kit?<\/p>\n

Gold logos and advertising feature on a dark blue base, while the Adidas three stripes along the shoulders feature in an even darker colour. A galaxy-inspired print right across the shirt rounds off what is a very stylish look, now let’s just hope Los Blancos can start delivering on the pitch once again, whoever ends up wearing their kits.<\/p>\n

3. Athletic Bilbao<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We’ve got another brilliant khaki number coming up very soon but sit tight, because this Athletic Bilbao away kit is a work of art. The subtle red along the sleeve cuffs and crew neck compliment the dark green perfectly, while the design on the front is a very tasteful nod to the club’s Basque heritage.<\/p>\n

There’s also something about having the club crest in gold, the whole thing just works. We expect this to be a massive hit in northern Spain.<\/p>\n

2. Borussia Dortmund<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Whether it be home, away, third or goalkeeper kits, Borussia Dortmund don’t often get them wrong. Predominantly black with a silver-metallic pattern on the front, the 2019\/20 away kit is apparently inspired by the city’s steel industry.<\/p>\n

Set for a July release, this will undoubtedly be a best-seller in the world of European away shirts with the perfect mix of boldness and dark class. Well done, Puma.<\/p>\n

1. Ajax <\/strong><\/h2>\n

With their brilliant blend of attacking, inventive football, young squad and run to the Champions League semi-finals, Ajax have captured the hearts and minds of fans around Europe this season, without even mentioning their domestic double.<\/p>\n
