Werder Bremen welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Weserstadion on Tuesday at 19:30 pm (UK Time), with both teams looking to get back to winning ways in the Bundesliga.
Things haven’t been great for Werder Bremen lately as they have failed to win a single game in their last eight Bundesliga outings. They have lost their most recent three league games, which included a 2-0 away loss at RB Leipzig at the weekend. Werder have conceded nine goals in their last three league games and they now face a Dortmund side which has the second-best attacking record in the division. At home, Bremen are currently on a four-game winless streak across all competitions, but the good news is they have scored at least once in each of their last 10 games at the Weserstadion.
On the flip side, Borussia Dortmund have suffered one of their worst Bundesliga defeats in history, having lost 1-5 at home at the hands of Stuttgart on Saturday. The board decided to sack Lucien Favre soon after the end of the game mostly because BVB has endured a poor run of form over the past month. Dortmund have won just once in their last five competitive outings and are currently winless in three Bundesliga matches. The only positive thing is that BVB managed to win their Champions League group and they will face Sevilla in the round of 16. Another positive fact is that Dortmund are undefeated in five trips to Bremen, winning four times in that timeframe.
Can Werder Bremen win their first Bundesliga match in two months? Or will Borussia Dortmund extend their unbeaten away run to six games?
