Watford wrap up deals for sons of Mauricio Pochettino and Dennis Bergkamp
Watford have added two illustrious names to their ranks, securing the services of Maurizio Pochettino and Mitchel Bergkamp, sons of legendary figures in north London.
The Hornets have strengthened their squad on deadline day as they push for instant promotion after suffering relegation from the Premier League last season, with Pochettino and Bergkamp joining Dan Gosling through the door in the last few days.
We have reached agreement with @WatfordFC for the transfer of Maurizio Pochettino.

Bergkamp, 22, has penned a six-month contract at Vicarage Road and will link up with the club’s U23s. The young Dutch midfielder carries the obvious burden of an iconic name on his shoulders, but insists he has his own story to write in football.
“It’s just my name and I’m my own player and hopefully I can leave my own legacy,” Mitchel said upon his arrival at the club.
Though, you wouldn’t be hard-pressed to recognise the similarities in playing style if Mitchel’s own assessment of his abilities are anything to go by.
“An attacking midfielder, a No.10 who likes to keep possession, create chances and score goals,” is how the Dutchman described himself.
His father, Dennis, played for Arsenal between 1996 and 2006 and famously won the Premier League title under Arsene Wenger having gone the entire 2003/04 season unbeaten.
Pochettino, meanwhile, has left Tottenham more than a year after his father’s reign in north London came to an end. The 19-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Watford and moves to Hertfordshire on a free transfer.
Born in Barcelona and raised in Paris and Southampton, Maurizio will move with Mitchel to the club’s U23s straight away, but December appointment Xisco will certainly be keeping a close eye on their progress.
