But the 27-year-old will want to build on his first round win at the Halle Open against qualifier Marc-Andrea Hüsler. McDonald only needed two sets to dispatch of the qualifier, winning 7-6 (4), 6-4 to give him the opportunity to get a second career win over Auger-Aliassime, winning the only other meeting to date.
