AC Milan will be looking to go top of Serie A when they travel to face Venezia on Sunday at 11:30am (UK time).
Stefano Pioli’s men are just one point behind league leaders and rivals Inter Milan going into the weekend having made a winning return from the winter break by beating Roma. They will have played two games more than their rivals come full time but this will be all about putting pressure on Inter, who face Lazio later on Sunday. Venezia, meanwhile, are yet to play since the Christmas period and remain just four points clear of the relegation zone. The hosts are also winless in their past six Serie A matches since a 1-0 win over Bologna in November.

Venezia team news
Venezia will be without on-loan AC Milan centre-back Mattia Caldara due to suspension, which should have been served in midweek against Salernitana but that was postponed. The same goes for Tanner Tessmann, who was sent off in the defeat to Lazio before Christmas. Dor Peretz is injured and Tyronne Ebuehi on international duty but Venezia are expected to hand a debut to new arrival Michael Cuisance, who joined from Bayern Munich in the week.
Venezia predicted XI: Romero; Mazzocchi, Svoboda, Ceccaroni, Haps; Ampadu, Vacca, Cuisance; Aramu, Henry, Johnsen.
AC Milan team news
AC Milan remain without Franck Kessie, Fode Ballo-Toure and Ismael Bennacer who are all on Africa Cup of Nations duty while Ciprian Tatarusanu is still isolating. Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli and Pietro Pellegri are all injured, so Pioli could be tempted to name the same XI that started the win over Roma.
AC Milan predicted XI: Maignan; Florenzi, Kalulu, Gabbia, Hernandez; Krunic, Tonali; Messias, Diaz, Saelemaekers; Giroud.
