Oleksandr Usyk will make the first defence of his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles against Anthony Joshua in Jeddah, Saidu Arabia this weekend.

Usyk and Joshua clash in a rematch from their initial fight in September last year, where the Ukrainian won via unanimous decision and claimed his place at the top of the heavyweight mountain. The fight, which took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, was Joshua’s second loss of his professional career and extended Usyk’s undefeated streak to 19.

The Rage on the Red Sea sees Usyk enter as favourite to retain his titles but Joshua has been speaking up his chances of victory on Saturday night. Whoever wins will emerge as the number one active heavyweight in the world and that could be enough to tempt Tyson Fury out of retirement. Fury, still the reigning WBC Heavyweight Champion, has stated he has retired but a huge unification fight against either Usyk or Joshua could tempt the 34 year old out of retirement and back into the ring at least one more time.
