As will have been expected when the qualifying draw was initially made, Spain have secured their spot at the 2023 World Cup with two games to spare, winning all six of their matches so far, scoring 45 and conceding none. However, anything but victory for Hungary would see Scotland qualify for the play-offs as Losa’s side hold the head-to-head advantage (winning both matches) should they finish level on points.
