Transfer rumours: Football gossip including Diego Costa Premier League hope
Diego Costa is waiting for an offer to return to the Premier League while it’s claimed Emile Smith Rowe’s recent displays have prompted Arsenal to call off their search for a creative midfielder.
Mikel Arteta is said to have identified the position as his priority in the January Transfer Window, but reports suggest he is now convinced the answer has been under his nose the whole time.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are said to be weighing up a move for Sven Botman and Mauricio Pochettino has apparently made his first steps towards a reunion with Dele Alli at Paris Saint-Germain.
David Alaba’s future continues to be a source of speculation amid suggestions Real Madrid front the queue for the 2019/20 Champions League winner.

With Raul Jimenez recovering from a fractured skull, Wolves looked desperately short of a presence up front and urgently need someone to fill the void left by the Mexican.
