Diego Costa is waiting for an offer to return to the Premier League while it’s claimed Emile Smith Rowe’s recent displays have prompted Arsenal to call off their search for a creative midfielder.

Mikel Arteta is said to have identified the position as his priority in the January Transfer Window, but reports suggest he is now convinced the answer has been under his nose the whole time.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are said to be weighing up a move for Sven Botman and Mauricio Pochettino has apparently made his first steps towards a reunion with Dele Alli at Paris Saint-Germain.

David Alaba’s future continues to be a source of speculation amid suggestions Real Madrid front the queue for the 2019/20 Champions League winner.

Diego Costa is waiting for an offer to return to the Premier League following his release from Atletico Madrid.

The former Chelsea striker is available on a free transfer after Atletico agreed to terminate his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano last month.

Wolves have emerged as early 5/6 favourites with Sky Bet and while there has been no approach from Molineux just yet, Fabrizio Romano reports the 32-year-old is eager to return to English football having already received offers from Brazil and China.

With Raul Jimenez recovering from a fractured skull, Wolves looked desperately short of a presence up front and urgently need someone to fill the void left by the Mexican.

Smith Rowe’s recent performances mean Arsenal may abandon attempts to sign Isco this month, according to reports in Spain.

Arsenal are said to have explored the possibility of a loan move for the Real Madrid star who has started just three league games under Zinedine Zidane this season.

AS report however Smith Rowe’s emergence has convinced Arteta he already has the creative spark needed to lift Arsenal in the second half of the season.

Reports in Spain have also indicated Isco’s preference is also to remain in Spain should he leave Los Blancos this month with a move to Sevilla currently priced at 3/1 with Sky Bet. Arsenal remain at 4/1 to sign the 27-year-old.
