‘Madrid don’t want Man Utd friction’: Latest transfer news on Pogba, Neymar & De Ligt
No summer transfer window is complete without a protracted transfer saga and it’s fair to say in 2019 we are being spoilt with at least three happening simultaneously.
Matthijs de Ligt, Neymar and Paul Pogba have all in recent weeks dominated the column inches with talks of relocating to either Italy or Spain.
However, with clubs starting their pre-season we could be entering the ‘endgame’.
Pogba has travelled with Manchester United to Australia, where the Red Devils face Perth Glory, but talk of him joining Real Madrid hasn’t abated – despite the La Liga giants reportedly being keen to avoid causing any friction with the record 20-time English champions.
Speaking of friction – or lack thereof – it seems Paris Saint-Germain won’t stand in Neymar’s way if he wants to become a Barcelona player once again, but the price must be right as it wasn’t long ago when they made him the world’s most expensive footballer.
Meanwhile, De Ligt’s switch to Juventus from Ajax seems to be drawing near, though nothing is official until he’s wearing the kit and doing kick-ups in front of a packed stadium.
