Real Madrid are open to letting defender Eder Militao leave the club on loan during the January Transfer Window.

The Brazil defender has been limited to just three appearances for Los Blancos this season with Tottenham said to be interested in a January deal with Jose Mourinho eager to strengthen his options at the back.

Liverpool, who remain without centre-half pair Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, have also been linked with a move for the 22-year-old.

The Premier League duo could be in luck. Journalist Duncan Castles believes Real are open to doing business this month and will allow Militao to leave on an initial loan deal with a purchase option of €50m at the end of the season.

Tottenham are reportedly refusing to let Alli seal a move away from the club this month.

The 24-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances for Spurs this term after falling down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.

Alli has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this month, with his former manager Mauricio Pochettino now in charge of the Ligue 1 champions. However, the Daily Mail claims Daniel Levy is blocking the player’s path due to Giovani Lo Celso’s injury.

The midfielder has a contract at Tottenham until 2024.

Ozil talks confirmed

Fenerbahce sporting director Emre Belozoglu has claimed Mesut Ozil is “closer than ever” to joining the club.

Emre said: “We had a meeting with him and his agent. It’s happening slowly, but Mesut is closer than ever to Fenerbahce. The fact that Mesut’s childhood dream is still alive and Fenerbahce has such a dream has made this step so close for the first time.”

Ozil has been frozen out by Mikel Arteta this term and the Arsenal manager confirmed “there are some conversations, but nothing concrete” when asked about a potential move for the 32-year-old on Thursday night.
