Trabzonspor team news

A cruciate ligament rupture sustained in October will likely keep 34-year-old Gervinho out for the rest of the season, while Edgar Ie and Anthony Nwakaeme are also expected to occupy the treatment tables until the New Year. The former came off injured against Altay so his replacement, Huseyin Turkmen, is likely to come in. The latter meanwhile scored in each of the club’s opening four Super Lig matches as he made a blistering start to the campaign, but his presence has not been missed in the past two games in which he has been absent. Andreas Cornelius has bagged three times in those wins against Hatayspor and Altay SK, taking his tally to nine for the campaign as he leads to Super Lig Golden Boot race.

Trabzonspor predicted XI: Cakir; Peres, Turkmen, Denswil, Trondsen; Tokoz, Omur, Siopis, Hamsik, Djaniny; Cornelius.

Istanbul Basaksehir team news

Tolga Cigerci is currently out of action for the visitors while Omer Ali Sahiner will sit this one out through suspension, opening the door for Junior Caicara to start at right-back. Cornelius may be leading the way in terms of his goal production for Super Lig players, but he is not alone at the top of the scoring charts. Former Fulham loanee and Watford striker Stefano Okaka also finds himself on nine goals for the season, settling into life seamlessly in Istanbul since moving from Udinese in the summer. The Italian will be hoping to reach double digits before Cornelius.

Istanbul Basaksehir predicted XI: Sengezer; Caicara, Ndayishimiye, Epureanu, Lima; Visca, Turuc, Ozcan, Ozbayrakli, Okaka.
