The Spurs line-up to expect under Jose Mourinho

In what has been a crazy week in north London, Mauricio Pochettino was sacked as Tottenham Hotspur manager before Jose Mourinho replaced him.

In the space of five-and-a-half years, Pochettino guided Spurs from being European outsiders to Champions League finalists, nurturing a host of talented youngsters along the way.

However, after some horrendous league form at the end of the 2018/19 season bled into the start of the current campaign and left Spurs 14th in the Premier League table, 20 points behind leaders Liverpool, Daniel Levy swung the axe and dispensed with the popular Argentine.

And so, Mourinho walks into a fanbase of discontent and a squad likely still reeling from the loss of their leader. The pressure is right on from the start.

But after managing in the intense climates of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid over the years, Mourinho is no stranger to this sort of pressure and will already be drawing his plans to get a tune out of this failing Spurs side.

How will the Lilywhites line up under Mourinho? Who will be the benefactors of his appointment and who will slide down the pecking order?
