After winning 2-0 away in Slovenia on matchday one, Sweden fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Norway in their last Nations League outing — an Erling Haaland brace doing the damage and rendering Anthony Elanga’s late strike ultimately meaningless.
Things don’t get any easier against a Serbia side hot off a 4-1 thrashing of Slovenia. They, too, lost to Norway 1-0 in their opener but having been able to quickly put that behind them, will head to Sweden with confidence. Especially considering the form of the likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
This is the first meeting between these two nations since 2012, with each winning one of the previous two.
Scoreline prediction: Sweden 1-1 Serbia
