Squawka Selector: Euro 2024 final is your chance to win a share of £500 and x2 tickets for Man City v Man Utd

The Euro 2024 final could be your chance to win a share of £500 with Squawka Selector and two tickets to Manchester City vs Manchester United in the Community Shield.

Unlike similar free games, our new free-to-play game Squawka Selector guarantees winners for every cash prize pot. Every Euro 2024 matchday we offered a prize pot of £250 and for Spain vs England we’re doubling it.

You could take home a share (or all) of that by successfully predicting a range of in-game events for this Sunday.

How does it work?

With every pot we select games and set questions. Your aim is to score as many points as you can through predictions. For example, what do you fancy for the full-time result? Which players do you expect to see carded? Will a headed goal be scored? Think of it as a bet builder. Except you don’t have to put down any money.

Squawka Selector is a leaderboard-based game. You’ll compete with rival players and your prize will depend on the number of points you score. The leaderboard ranking points totals is updated in real-time, meaning you can track your score in-game.

You must be over 18 and a UK resident to play Squawka Selector. For more information on responsible gambling, visit GambleAware.org. Full Ts&Cs here.

So what can you win?

In terms of cash prizes, here’s what’s up for grabs on Sunday 14th July.

  • First place: £300
  • Runner-up: £150
  • Third-place: £50

For the duration of the Euro 2024, the top three scores earn cash prizes. These are prize pots, so players tied on points will share the cash. See below for a more detailed breakdown on how points are awarded.

So how about those tickets for the Manchester City vs Manchester United Wembley rematch? Here’s what you need to do to enter the prize draw.

  1. Sign up: Follow this link to join for free, make your predictions and track your points total live on the leaderboard.
  2. Opt in to marketing: Besides the prospect of two tickets to Wembley, it’s the best way to avoid missing out on the chance to win cash prizes.
  3. Play Squawka Selector: Enter Euro 2024 any pot and your name automatically goes into the draw. The randomly selected winner will receive two tickets for August 10th’s Community Shield. They will be notified within two working days of the Euros final (Sunday, July 14th).

How does the scoring work?

For each Selector, you make predictions based on a series of questions. The final result is determined by the outcomes after 90 minutes plus injury time. Nothing beyond this (e.g. extra-time or penalties) counts toward points totals.

You can modify your selections as much as you like up until the deadline for the Selector round in question. For Portugal vs Slovenia on Monday 1st July that is 8pm.

Points earned vary depending on question difficulty. For each correctly predicted question, you will receive specified points. Incorrect answers score zero points.

  • 4 points: Player To Score, Player To Be Carded
  • 3 points: Full Time Result
  • 2 points: Both Teams To Score, 3 Or More Goals, Goal To Be Scored From The 80th Minute, Goal To Be Scored In The First 20 Minutes, Any Player To Score A Header, Any Player To Score From Outside The Box

Your total score is the sum of all correct predictions in the Selector Pot.

If you finish in a cash-winning position, Squawka will contact you directly to arrange payment. If you finish in a position that pays in free bets (when applicable), Squawka will also reach out directly to organise distribution.

Scoring Rules and Definitions

  • In-Play Scoring: In-play scoring is provided for the enjoyment of all Squawka users, but official scoring occurs only after the Selector pot is finalised.
  • Results Viewing: Once finalised, you can see previous results in the ‘Selector History’ section.
  • Score Adjustments: Official data might occasionally be altered by data providers (such as Opta) after a Selector pot is settled. These adjustments are rare, but they can occur. Any changes made to official scores after a Selector is settled will not impact previously settled pots, and payouts already honoured will remain intact.
  • Data Provider Contact: If you have concerns about the data, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance. Official statistics from Opta are used in the scoring system.

Tiebreakers

  • Equal Scores: If multiple players finish a Selector with the same score and qualify for a prize, the prize money will be divided equally among them.
  • Shared Prizes: When the number of players with tied scores exceeds the number of available prize positions, the prize pool will be combined and equally divided among those players.
  • Position Sharing: Players with tied scores will share their positions, meaning that multiple players can jointly finish first, second, or third. The next player will be classified as finishing in the subsequent position.

Examples:

  • Example 1: Winner Takes All with 2 Players:
    • If the game is “winner takes all” with a £100 prize pool and two players finish with the most points, the prize pool will be divided equally between them. Each player will receive £50.
  • Example 2: Winner Takes All with 5 Players:
    • If five players finish with the most points in a “winner takes all” game with a £100 prize pool, each player will receive £20 after the pool is shared equally.
  • Example 3: Tiered Prizes with 2 Players Tied for First:
    • If the game pays £100 for first place, £50 for second place, and £30 for third place, and two players finish tied for the most points:
    • They will be considered joint first and joint second.
    • The first and second-place prizes will be combined and split equally, resulting in each player receiving £75.
  • Example 4: Tiered Prizes with 10 Players Tied:
    • If the game offers £100 for first place, £50 for second place, and £30 for third place, and ten players tie for the most points:
    • All 10 players will share joint first, second, and third places.
    • The prize money for all three tiers will be combined (£100 + £50 + £30 = £180) and shared equally.
    • Each of the 10 players will receive £18.

Postponed Fixtures

  • This is down to Squawka’s discretion, but if a fixture is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled, it will likely be void in the Selector.
  • If multiple fixtures are affected, Squawka will decide whether to continue the Selector or void it entirely.

Incomplete Fixtures

Fixtures that are not completed will be void for all players, and no points will be awarded for that fixture.

Scoring

Points are awarded for questions based on the standard 90-minute game duration, including stoppage time but excluding extra time or penalty shootouts.

Cards

Only yellow cards issued to players count toward the card totals. Cards given to coaches/staff are not included.

The maximum number of cards a player can receive is two:

  • Two yellows leading to a red equals two cards.
  • Straight red cards equal one card.

Goal Timing Definitions

A question for goals scored before or after a defined time will follow one rule set. Here are some specific examples:

  • Goal Scored in the First 20 Minutes:
    • A goal scored at 20:00 or later is not within the first 20 minutes.
    • Goals scored on or before 19:59 fall within this period.
  • Goal Scored From the 80th Minute:
    • Goals scored from 79:00 onwards are classified as “from the 80th minute.”
