Yes, we’re stating the obvious there – every man and his dog knows that by now.
But the trio’s success got us thinking – what about the niche tallies achieved each season that aren’t recognised with trophies?
We’re talking most distance covered, highest top speed and most weaker foot goals. That’s right – the unsung stats that don’t usually make the headlines but deserve to be shouted about.
Here at Squawka, we like to think outside the box. So, with a bit of help from Opta, we’ve come up with our very own unique end-of-season stats awards to give some of the game’s lesser known numbers their moment in the sun.
Some of the division’s big hitters feature – they’re top dogs for a reason. But there’s also several nominees that you’ll be surprised to see battling with the cream of the crop for supremacy.
