Slavia Prague return to Czech First League action when they host city rivals Sparta Prague at Sinobo Stadium on Sunday (17:30 UK time).
Jindřich Trpišovský’s men will be energised after returning from London with a 1-1 result against Arsenal in their Europa League quarter-final first leg. Sparta, who trail leaders Slavia, know they must claim all three points if they are to stand any chance of winning a first league title since 2014.

Slavia Prague vs Sparta Prague build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
A four-match winning streak in the Czech First League ended last time out when Zbrojovka Brno held Slavia Prague to a goalless draw. Trpišovský’s men are still on course to winning a third successive league title sitting 14 points clear at the top of the table with nine matches remaining, though nearest challenger Sparta Prague have played two games fewer. This season’s Europa League quarter-finalists also go into this weekend’s game looking to preserve an unbeaten record. Červenobílí have won 20 of their opening 25 matches with the other five ending in stalemate. At home, they’ve been near perfect having accumulated 34 points from 36 available.
As touched upon, Sparta Prague sit behind city rivals Slavia and can move to within eight points if they win their two games in hand. Pavel Vrba’s side make the small journey to Sinobo Stadium having won five of their previous six league outings. The record 12-time Czech champions also head into this latest round of fixtures boasting the league’s second best away record (eight wins from 11 games played) behind only this weekend’s opponents. Although they have dropped six points across their previous five away games, Sparta are currently on a 18-match unbeaten streak on the road (13 wins and five draws).

Player to watch: Jan Kuchta (Slavia Prague)
Acquiring the services of Jan Kuchta from league rivals Slovan Liberec last summer has been paying dividends for Slavia, with the 24-year-old marksman currently the Czech First League’s top scorer. Kuchta, who has bagged two goals across nine matches in their Europa League run so far, is a different beast in domestic surroundings. He enters this weekend’s Prague derby having registered 12 goals in 19 appearances. The former Czech U21 international has also created no fewer than six goals. Kuchta, though, faces Sparta having scored once in his five previous league outings and in he has failed to score in seven previous meetings against The Reds.
