Celta Vigo will be looking for just their second victory in La Liga this season when they travel to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to take on Sevilla on Saturday at 5:30pm (UK Time).
Sevilla did well to finish fourth in La Liga last season, but their start to this current campaign has been poor. Prior to the international break, Sevilla managed a narrow 1-0 home victory against Osasuna, bringing their first league win in five games, currently 12th in the league, 10 points behind leaders Real Sociedad.
Their recent form reads three victories in four competitive games, but two of them came in the Champions League against Rennes and Krasnodar. Sevilla are now back at the Sanchez Pizjuan where they have suffered just one defeat in their last 15 games across all competitions. Sevilla will be boosted by the fact they are unbeaten in the last five home meetings with Celta Vigo while winning four in the process.
On the contrary, Celta Vigo had a decent start to the season with two draws and one victory in their opening three rounds. However, they have failed to win another game since and head into this clash on the back of a six-game winless streak in the league, form that saw Oscar replaced by Eduardo Coudet.
This leaves the Celestes 17th in the standings, just one point clear of the drop zone. Away from home, Celta are winless in eight league games at the moment, though five of these have ended in draws. Celta are winless in their last five trips to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, but their overall head-to-head record against Sevilla is pretty good, losing just once in the last two years.
Will Sevilla secure a fourth consecutive victory at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan? Or will Celta Vigo put an end to a seven-game winless streak in La Liga?
