Real Madrid can get back to winning ways in La Liga when they welcome Alaves at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium on Saturday at 20:00 pm (UK Time).
After back-to-back victories over Barcelona and Huesca towards the end of October, Real Madrid have lost 4-1 at Valencia and drawn 1-1 at Villarreal. However, they are now back on home soil and this match against Alaves should be a formality. Los Blancos have won eight of their last ten home games across all competitions. Furthermore, they have registered victories in each of their last eight home meetings with Alaves in La Liga, having scored at least two goals in each of these. Zidane’s men currently sit fourth in the La Liga table with 17 points after nine rounds, just two points behind third-placed Villarreal and with a game in hand.
Alaves, on the flip side, come into this tie on the back of a four-game unbeaten streak in the league, although the most recent three matches ended in draws. They did well to score in each of their last four games, especially against solid sides such as Barcelona and Valencia.
Alaves have won just once in their last seven away games and have only kept one clean sheet in the process. Furthermore, they have failed to score in each of their last five games on the road at Real Madrid.
Alaves did well to hold Valencia and Barcelona to draws recently, so it won’t be a big surprise if they manage a positive result here. Can Real Madrid get back to winning ways in the Spanish La Liga? Or will the visitors extend their unbeaten streak in the league to five games?
