Real Betis vs Valencia build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
Betis have lost just one of their last eight games but must get back to winning ways soon after back-to-back 1-1 draws with Elche and Atletico Madrid, though the latter will be seen as a positive result. Just a single point now separates Sociedad, Betis and Villarreal between fifth and seventh and the race for Europa League football looks set to go down to the wire.
Valencia head south in need of the points themselves. Though Los Che are currently in mid-table, they’re only a few bad results away from being dragged back into the relegation battle. But Javi Gracia’s men showed great fighting spirit in coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Sociedad last time out, holding on even after Maxi Gomez had been sent off in the 79th minute.
- Real Betis (vs Atletico Madrid): Bravo; Emerson, Mandi, Bartra, Moreno; Rodriguez, Canales; Ruibal, Joaquin, Tello; Fekir.
- Valencia (vs Real Sociedad): Domenech; Correia, Diakhaby, Gabriel*, Gaya; Wass, Soler, Racic, Cheryshev; Gomez*, Guedes.
Victor Camarasa and Dani Martin remain sidelined for Betis. Centre-back Victor Ruiz has returned to the starting XI while Andres Guardado and Borja Iglesias are on the bench.
Maxi Gomez and Gabriel Paulista are both suspended for the visitors, who remain without injured goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen. Eliaquim Mangala and Cristiano Piccini have both returned to the bench.

Player to watch: Cristian Tello (Real Betis)
It’s been a long time since Cristian Tello burst onto the scene as a wonderkid with Barcelona but despite not quite hitting the heights expected of him, the 29-year-old has found a useful role as a rotation player with Betis.
The winger was on target the last time these two sides met, scoring the second goal as Betis ran out 2-0 winners and since then, he’s extended his tally to five goals and three assists in La Liga, despite playing just 984 minutes.
His latest strike was the equaliser during a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid last time out for Pellegrini’s side and Tello feels primed to add to his tally again on Sunday.
