Racing Club vs Boca Juniors build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
Racing Club qualified for the knockout stages of the Copa de la Liga after finishing fourth in Zone A, just scraping through on goal difference against of San Lorenzo. They won six, drew three and lost four of their 13 group stage matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding 12 in the process. In the group stage, only five of the 26 teams across both zones, conceded fewer goals than Racing Club, and their defence came through again in the quarter-finals as they beat Velez Sarsfield on penalties following a goalless draw.
Boca Juniors were in Zone B and finished the group stage with just one point more than Racing Club, but it was good enough for a second-placed finish. They also won six games, but drew four and lost three, finishing a massive nine points behind Zone winners Velez Sarsfield – who Racing beat in the quarter-finals. Boca Juniors’ own quarter-final match brought a Superclasico against River Plate, against whom they had drawn in the group stage. It was the exact same result in the quarter-finals (1-1), but this time Boca Juniors advanced on penalties.

Player to watch: Tomas Chancalay (Racing Club)
Racing Club have been good this season, but if they are to get over the line against Boca Juniors, they will need Tomas Chancalay to be on his game. The 22-year-old Argentinian forward is on loan from CA Colon, and is in a good bit of form going into this match.
He has scored four goals in his past six domestic matches, including two in the final Zone A game against San Lorenzo, a 2-0 win that put Racing Club into the quarter-finals. Although he drew a blank in the quarter-final, Chancalay did score a hat-trick in his most recent outing as Racing Club finished their Copa Libertadores group campaign with a 3-0 win. Primarily a winger, that hat-trick came with Chanacalay playing through the middle, and he can cause Boca Juniors problems wherever he plays.
