PSV team news
Head coach Roger Schmidt comes into this week’s game with only Phillipp Mwene and Ryan Thomas missing from his matchday squad. Cody Gakpo, who came off the bench in their 2-0 win over RKC Waalwijk last time out, is expected to return to PSV’s starting lineup. Gakpo has been involved in nine goals in his last six starts at Philips Stadion in European competitions (excluding qualifiers), scoring six and assisting three. Elsewhere there should be a recall for Eran Zahavi and potentially Mario Götze with Ibrahim Sangaré and Noni Madueke also pushing for a start.
PSV predicted XI: Drommel; Junior, Teze, Boscagli, Max; Gutierrez, Sangaré; Madueke, Gotze, Gakpo; Zahavi.
Leicester City team news
Jamie Vardy, Danny Ward, Ryan Bertrand and Wilfred Ndidi — all of whom are sidelined with a knee injury — will not be in the Netherlands this week. Elsewhere there’s doubts over the availability of Ayoze Perez and Boubakary Soumare; the latter has been suffering with a groin/hip/pelvic knock. James Maddison and Harvey Barnes should feature though. Both have been leading lights in attack, they each come into this fixture on the back of scoring twice in this season’s competition.
Leicester City predicted XI: Schmeichel; Justin, Fofana, Evans, Castagne; Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall; Albrighton, Maddison, Barnes; Iheanacho.
