PSV Eindhoven and Real Betis continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly clash at Philips Stadion on Saturday at 5pm (UK time).
PSV have had a busy pre-season so far with this their sixth and final friendly. The Red and Whites picked up 6-0 and 5-0 victories over Blau-Weiss Lohne and FC Eindhoven, respectively, at either end of their summer campaign, but failed to win any of their fixtures against Cercle Brugge (2-2), Arminia Bielefeld (0-4) or Villarreal (1-2) between. This is PSV’s final test before they face rivals Ajax in the Johan Cruyff Shield next week.
As for Real Betis, they started pre-season with a 0-0 draw at Austrian side SV Groedig last week. But now the real fun starts with challenging tests against PSV, Marseille and Brentford to come before they begin their La Liga campaign at home to Elche in mid-August. After finishing fifth last season, Betis will be keen to pick up some strong form again ahead of their opening fixture.
