Real Madrid vs Club America: Team news, live stream, preview & betting tips
Real Madrid’s pre-season preparations continue when they face Mexican giants Club America in San Francisco on Wednesday at 3:30am (UK time).
Los Blancos didn’t make the ideal start to the summer, losing 1-0 to El Clasico rivals Barcelona last time out. But they can be forgiven after enjoying an extended break following their Champions League triumph. Wednesday’s clash is one of two remaining friendlies before their Uefa Super Cup clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, with Juventus coming up at the weekend.
Club America, meanwhile, are four games into their Liga MX Apertura season, but have just one win to their name so far. That said, they’ve given a good account of themselves in recent friendlies against Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City, losing 2-1 in both matches, so Real Madrid can expect a stern test.

Real Madrid team news
Karim Benzema missed the defeat to Barcelona but Carlo Ancelotti has revealed the Frenchman will start against Club America, before trying out a line-up against Juventus that should be much closer to what will face Frankfurt in the Super Cup.
“When we face Club América, he’ll play 45 minutes and then he’ll play more against Juventus,” said Ancelotti, adding: “In that game, I’ll try out the team that will probably start the Uefa Super Cup.”
This means the likes of Eden Hazard, Eduardo Camavinga and Lucas Vazquez could start again here, before Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro all return to the XI against Juventus.
Club America team news
Despite being in the midst of their domestic campaign, Club America have still fielded strong sides against Chelsea and Man City, so we should see players like Guillermo Ochoa, Jonathan dos Santos and Jonathan Rodriguez start.
In friendlies and competitive matches combined, Águilas have won just one of their last six matches, scoring only five goals during that time.
Scoreline prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Club America
