Premier League transfer targets

Premier League clubs are expected to be busy during the upcoming January transfer window, as usual.

Liverpool appear to be running away with the title but there is plenty more up for grabs for other teams operating in England’s top tier.

The race for a top-four finish appears to be wide open with Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United all showing vulnerabilities, while Manchester City are not necessarily guaranteed a Champions League spot either.

Leicester have muscled into the equation while Sheffield United, Wolves and Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton will also feel that they could climb towards the European places during the second half of the season.

So, opportunity is knocking for whoever manages to get the most out of their transfer business over the next month or so.

Pulling off a coup, discovering a gem or filling a hole with a familiar face could be the difference between success and failure for the clubs involved.

A plethora of names have been linked with potential moves to these shores – but which targets represent the cream of the crop as 2020 approaches?

Who has the ability to come straight into a new side and make an immediate impact? And who is set to prove that they are worth a substantial transfer fee?

Watch the video at the top of the article to see our assessment of the best Premier League transfer targets ahead of the January transfer window.
