Liverpool host Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend aiming to tighten their grip on top spot.

The Reds currently boast a five-point cushion over Manchester City, but face an in-form Foxes side who could climb above Pep Guardiola’s men with a victory at Anfield.

Brendan Rodgers needs no introduction on Merseyside, having come so close to ending the club’s long wait for a top-flight title, and he will be keen to get the better of Jurgen Klopp in what is set to be an intriguing tactical duel.

Both teams could welcome back key men with Alisson in contention to return between the sticks for Liverpool and James Maddison expected to start for the visitors. All signs point towards an entertaining affair.

Elsewhere, high-flying West Ham host Crystal Palace at the London Stadium as Manuel Pellegrini’s men look to solidify their top-four ambitions.

Spurs face a tricky trip to Brighton, with the Lilywhites in need of a confidence boost after being demolished by Bayern Munich in midweek.

The pressure is building on Mauricio Pochettino, who has overseen just one clean sheet in 10 top-flight games, and the Argentine can scarcely afford another slip up.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have won just one of their last four Premier League games and will be keen to make the most of their rivals’ poor form to establish themselves in the Champions League places.

Manchester United have similar ambitions but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are languishing in 10th place and may be left sitting on the wrong side of the dotted line even if they secure three points at Newcastle.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea visit Southampton, who are still searching for their first home win of the season, and Manchester City face Wolves.

Nuno’s team were a constant thorn in the big boys’ collective side last year but have started the current campaign in poor form and the reigning champions will be expected to notch up another win as they look to cut Liverpool’s lead.
