Everton go to Leicester City this weekend knowing that one more defeat could see changes made in the Goodison Park hierarchy.

Reports are linking David Moyes with a return to Merseyside following another disappointing defeat last weekend, this time at the hands of struggling Norwich City. The last team they’ll want to play now is Leicester.

Last weekend’s comfortable win at Brighton means Brendan Rodgers’ side have won five games in a row, scoring 17 goals and conceding just once. They look flawless at the moment and surely it can’t be long before they’re considered genuine title, or at least Champions League, contenders – if they aren’t already.

Everton, on the other hand, are struggling. They will have hoped to compete with Leicester this season but have failed to get into any kind of rhythm this season and find themselves 16th, just four points above the relegation zone.

Ones to watch

Leicester: Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy just does not stop. Despite being 32 years old, the Leicester forward has the intensity and prowess of a man at his peak.

He is the outright top scorer in the Premier League this season with 12 goals – seven more than any Everton player – and has scored in nine in his last seven games. Don’t be surprised to see him add to that this weekend.

Key stat: Jamie Vardy has been directly involved in seven goals against Everton, scoring five recording two assists in eight appearances.

Everton: Richarlison

Richarlison must feel like he’s doing it all himself at times this season. In what has been a dark season for Everton, the Brazilian forward has continued to shine.

Whether it’s on the wing or through the middle, he seems to be at the heart of anything positive for the Toffees.

Key stat: Richarlison has more Premier League goals (5) and has made more tackles (37) than any other Everton player this season.

Squawka prediction

On paper, this is only going one way. Marco Silva knows he has to pull results out of the bag if he wants to save his job but Leicester are simply unstoppable at the moment. He will want another chance if this weekend doesn’t go according to plan.

Scoreline prediction: Leicester 2-0 Everton
