Peru vs Colombia build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
A second consecutive World Cup finals appearance seems remote for Peru who have begun their qualification campaign without a single win across the opening four matchdays. Things began somewhat positively when Andre Carrillo rescued a point at Paraguay but that has only since led to three defeats on the bounce. Brazil left with a 2-4 win before a pair of 2-0 defeats at the hands of Peru and Argentina.
Qualification also started well for Colombia who ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Venezuela but they couldn’t keep up that momentum as they’d pick up just one point across their next three WCQ outings. A hardfought 2-2 draw with Chile has since been followed by consecutive humbling defeats. Uruguay put three unanswered goals past them before suffering a painful 6-1 loss to Ecuador.
- Peru (vs Argentina): Gallese; Corzo, Santamaría, Abram, Trauco; Yotún, Aquino; Carrillo, Cueva, Flores*; Lapadula.
- Colombia (vs Ecuador): Vargas; Orejuela, Sánchez, Murillo, Mojica; Uribe, Cuadrado, Lerma; Rodríguez*, Zapata, Díaz.
Jefferson Farfan and Edison Flores miss out for Peru while Colombia will not be able to call upon the services of James Rodriguez, Alfredo Morelos and Juan Quintero.

Player to watch: André Carrillo (Colombia)
Los Incas will be looking to put back-to-back losses against Chile and Argentina behind them when they host Colombia on matchday five. Across those aforementioned defeats 29-year-old marksman André Carrillo completed the 90 minutes but couldn’t add to his three WCQ goals. Those strikes which came in Peru’s opening two fixtures subsequently left him firmly in the hunt to finish as top scorer. Predominantly a right-sided winger Carrillo is currently one strike behind the leading pack which includes Luis Suarez and he’ll fancy his chances against a Colombian team struggling at the back.
